Is there a 'Thursday Night Football' game tonight? NFL schedule, TV channels for Week 17 – Sporting News

4 min read

Technically there is Thursday night football on TV tonight, but there is no “Thursday Night Football” game on TV tonight. As was the case last week, the NFL has no “TNF” game on the Week 17 schedule. The final week of the 2019 season will begin and end on Sunday with a full slate of games.

So the Thursday night football stage tonight belongs to Pittsburgh and Eastern Michigan in the Quick Lane Bowl on ESPN at 8 p.m. ET.

As for the Week 17 NFL schedule, the league flexed its best game of the week to the only prime-time slot available. (There is no “Monday Night Football” in Week 17, either.) The Seahawks will host the 49ers on “Sunday Night Football” in the final game of the regular season and a matchup that will decide the NFC West title — not to mention its impact on the NFL playoff picture.

Below is all you need to know about the rest of the Week 17 NFL schedule, including kickoff times and TV channels.

Is there a ‘Thursday Night Football’ game tonight?

There is not. The last “Thursday Night Football” game of the season was played a couple weeks ago, when the Ravens blew out the Jets.

If you need your Thursday football fix during the holidays, the college bowl schedule offers two options. Miami and Louisiana Tech will play in the Independence Bowl at 4 p.m. ET, and Pittsburgh and Eastern Michigan will play in the Quick Lane Bowl at 8 p.m. ET. Both games will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.

The NFL picks up its Week 17 schedule on Sunday, when all 16 games will be played at either 1 p.m. ET or 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS or Fox, with the exception being the Seahawks-49ers game at 8:25 p.m. ET on NBC.

Below is the full schedule.
